With the Big Scale-EXTREME an adjustable clutch for very special requirements has been designed:For large-displacement enginesFor heavy or high traction cars (Losi, HPI)For modified performance enginesFor the demanding off-road useRapid wear of a clutch is a sign of constant slipping, even beyond engagement speed. In this case, the clutch does not transfer the applied torque.This is where the Big ScaleEXTREME sets a new standard.The new design of the "Extreme" prevents the centrifugal forces of clutch springs or lever side of the clutch shoes from counteracting the centrifugal force of the friction pad side even after engagement.As a result this clutch can transfer lots of power with minimal wear.The new design ensures that the centrifugal forces are transferred in full to the clutch lining. Precise engagement and disengagement even under high loads and inside of closed clutch bell carriers means no problem for this clutch.The clutch can be easily adjusted to the engagement speed through three set screws without clutch bell removal, so you can match the characteristics of your engine.The special clutch lining of the Big Scale-EXTREME is particularly wear-resistant and - especially in combination with a high-quality nitrited clutch bell (), guarantees for an exceptionally long service life! Special single component epoxy adhesive for bonding clutch shoes; suitable for extreme operating temperatures (up to 200°C!) Important note for processing: For the final cure of the bond Clutch-Safe must be tempered at 170°C for 1 hour! (1 hour at 170°C in the oven!) The extremely high temperature load on the clutch shoes when used in off-road cars caused by increased clutch slippage, the shock of jumps and the combination with sometimes very high vehicle weights (up to 18 kg!) make bonding with Clutch-Safe highly recommended. For later removal/replacement of worn out clutch pads the clutch shoes must be heated as well.Attention:Clutch-Safe adhesive must be stored in the fridge! Content: 10g tube

Gas-nitrided tuning clutch bell machined from high grade steel with a hole for easy clutch adjustment. Special vents remove dirt and clutch lining debris automatically, preventing it from accumulating in the clutch bell and causing premature wear to clutch bell and linings. Installation ready set of 3 with glued-on organic pads.Replacing the clutch liningsFor replacing the friction pads please proceed as follows:1. Remove clutch from engine2. Disassemble clutch3. Remove the screws fixing the friction pads4. Remove remains of old glue and clean the surface to be bonded of the shoes to bare metal 5. Thoroughly degrease the bonding area of clutch shoes and new pads6. You must use the special adhesive y0743 Clutch-Safe!7. Apply a sufficient and complete layer of the adhesive to the bonding surfaces8. Insert the lining into the clutch shoe and align9. Fix the pad in place with screw y0730/03, just hand-tighten it10.
