Gas-nitrided tuning clutch bell machined from high grade steel with a hole for easy clutch adjustment. Special vents remove dirt and clutch lining debris automatically, preventing it from accumulating in the clutch bell and causing premature wear to clutch bell and linings. They aid in cooling of the clutch bell as well.The clutch bell features a significantly reinforced wearing surface and face which guarantees dimensional stability even under high loads! The shaft is a tiny bit longer than stock (about 0.2 mm) to prevent the bearings from binding.Since this clutch bell is single-piece machined from bar stock there is no weld bead on the inside of the face plate. The gained space allows now to use the adjustable GPM Big Extreme clutch.Suitable for genuine slot drive Losi pinions. Use a high strength two-component adhesive (e.g. Clutch-Safe) to glue in the pads and lock them with the countersunk screws M3x5 (part no. y0730/03)Part no. 02 for GPM Big-Scale clutch.For replacing the friction pads please proceed as follows:1. Remove clutch from engine2. Disassemble clutch3. Remove the screws fixing the friction pads4. Remove remains of old glue and clean the surface to be bonded of the shoes to bare metal 5. Thoroughly degrease the bonding area of clutch shoes and new pads6. You must use the special adhesive y0743 Clutch-Safe!7. Apply a sufficient and complete layer of the adhesive to the bonding surfaces8. Insert the lining into the clutch shoe and align9. Fix the pad in place with screw y0730/03, just hand-tighten it10. Remove excessive glue with a rag11. Preheat oven to 120 °C.12. Put the clutch shoes into the preheated oven for exactly one hour; let the parts cool down13. Since engines become faster and stronger these days, the clutch has to handle much more power than before. This clutch is basically the same for all cars, only the center part is different. So when you change your car youll only need a different center part. This new clutch has 4 shoes which engaging action can be adjusted to your personal preference through changing the springs. You are now able to allow 2 shoes to engage earlier by 700 to 2000 rpm. When the engine has enough rpm to press all 4 shoes against the bell, the spring preload is neutralized. The reason for this: the center part, which is attached to the crankshaft and carries the clutch body on three ball bearings, turns 30 degrees once all 4 shoes touch the bell, increasing pressure on the shoes from down below to a higher value than possible through centrifugal force alone. The stronger the engine, the more additional clutch pressure will be generated. The result: better acceleration through significantly reduced slippage. This will protect your clutch shoes from wear and damage! When the throttle is released, the center part disengages and the springs are re-activated within milliseconds. With this new system the wear of the shoes is significantly reduced. This clutch is especially designed for models with high power engines such as the heavy like Losi 5ive-T.
