Genuine HT spare/option part.Available as 272 high strength and heat resistant, 270/1 high strength or 241 medium strength.The strength of 272 and 270/1 is comparable, but 272 can handle temperatures up to 230°C vs. 150°C for 270/1. It is therefore the perfect choice for applications like exhaust or clutch pinion bolts. They are especially used for sealing hot oils, greases and fuels! The sealing material is compressed during assembly, and as soon as it comes into contact with fuel, it swells again. Thus it is i.e. possible to make up for irregularities in the sealed surfaces (i.e. cylinder / crankcase) and seal them properly! The material of the SPEED TEC AN - expansion sealing gaskets guarantees a very good dimensional accuracy and is often the solution for leaks on your engine!
