The MadMax MAXI PIN tires come with strong special tire inserts which allow transferring the power without canting, even on heavy cars.
MadMax MAXI PIN tire was developed specifically for astro turf tracks! The special tread design with 480 studs per tire provides excellent grip, but also a high load on tire and rim! To stabilize the tire, the outer shoulder features radial ribs which minimizes the tilting under load and counteract the shear forces during cornering. Furthermore, the MAXI PIN tire has studs positioned on the outside shoulder, which support the steering in corners.
All together the MAXI PIN tires provide maximum grip, which made it necessary to upgrade the beadlock screws on these MadMax EXTREME wheels. So they come with 3.0 mm screws instead of the usual 2.5 mm ones! Nevertheless, tires and beadlocks should be checked after every run.
The set consists of four tires, including tire inserts and MadMax EXTREME rims and 4 pieces adapter wheel nuts TT1020/01.

The dimensions of the nut are specifically designed for use with MadMax, current HPI and Losi rims. Rims from Losi 5ive have slightly different dimensions in the hub area. This is meaningless on the large LOSI or HPI wheel adapters. With the smaller and shorter wheel nut thread of the X-Maxx wheel shafts you cannot compromise. Therefore there are also special nuts for the Losi rims/wheels available at our options menu.
However, somewhere in the past, the injection moulds for the HPI rims were slightly modified in the hub area. As part of that job the bore diameter has probably been slightly increased. Therefore, the use of older rims in combination with the adapter nuts makes it necessary to increase the rim bore a little bit.
Due to repeated requests for use: these wheel nuts replace the stock wheel nuts when installing the wheels!

Off-road tires for sandy underground! Gives great results on those carpets which are typical for some off-road tracks. 462 grippy square studs per tire, a total of more then 1800 for a complete set of tires, guarantee maximum traction! The lower profile of the outer stud rows reduces lateral traction and guarantee exceptional directional stability! Therefore the car is less prone to undesirable side rolls! The rim is the 6-spoke design with a steel reinforcement ring around the wheel drive. The NARROW-GRIP tires are available with either 18 mm square drive to fit FG & co. or with 24mm hex for Losi, HPI Baja 5 series cars and they allready glued!To prevent premature wheel drive wear the fit to the rim is very tight. Therefore the rim should be properly aligned with the square or hex drive and completely mounted via tightening the wheel nut! SUPER GRIP 170 x 80 mm and 170 x 60 mm with black MadMax Extreme rims for 18 mm square or 24 mm hex wheel drive, 20 beadlock screws per rim and reinforced silver beadlock rings. Fits FG, Smartech, Losi 5ive-T, 5ive Mini, Desert Buggy XL and all HPI Baja 5B and 5T/SC cars.Due to the extreme stress created by the MadMax SUPER GRIP tires, the rim has been optimized again.The tires come with a special rigid insert which transfers the applied forces without tilting; even with the heaviest cars like the Losi 5ive-T.All together, the SUPER GRIP lives up to its name and provides maximum grip, which makes it necessary to use the supplied 3 mm beadlock screws for the MadMax EXTREME rims instead of the usual 2.5 mm screws. Additionally, the seating of these screws should be checked after each use.The MadMax SUPERGRIP tires have been designed especially for use on tarmac. Even on fine-pored tarmac your car will still find enough grip! (As you can see in our video.) On most 1/5 and 1/6 cars the best combination is the use of 60 mm wide front and 80 mm wide rear tires. The Losi 5ive-T and Super Baja Rey should run 60 mm wide MadMax SUPERGRIP tires all around, because the 80 mm wide SUPERGRIP tires are a bit too wide for the body shell.The 80 mm wide MadMax tires are reinforced on the inside of the carcass with a special cross pattern in the tread section and ribs in the outside shoulder.The MadMax SUPERGRIP has a special on-road tread. OVER LANDER 170 x 80 mm and 170 x 60 mm tires with reinforced beadlock rings on black rims. The OVER LANDER were designed as all-terrain tires that can be used on virtually all surfaces because of its tightly attached lug tread pattern When a terrain includes sand, gravel and grass, the Overlander is the right choice! It can even be used on partially paved tracks!Of course, the OVER LANDER allround tire will not make special purpose tires like the TARMAC BUSTER,BIG DIGGER or CROSS BOND obsolete. Due to the extreme load created by the MadMax OVER LANDER tires the rim was optimized again with a reinforcement ring.The tires are fitted with a special rigid insert, which can handle the cornering forces and maintain the tires shape even on heavy cars. We recommend to check the beadlock screws after the run.
