These adapter nuts, manufactured from billet 7075 aluminum allow for easy and precise installation of all MadMax, HPI and Losi 5ive tires and rims on the Traxxas X-Maxx. For the best result possible, nut and adapter are manufactured as a one-piece unit.

It should be noted that the wide rims can be used on the rear axle only. On the front axle they would limit the steering angle by grinding on lower a-arm and steering rod.
LosiDBXL rims do not fit the X-Maxx (depth of hex is too deep)!

Traxxas has microencapsulated the wheel shafts of the X-Maxx to secure the wheel nuts. Like any thread locking compound this is not for eternity. After several tire changes the use of a normal screw locking compound is advised, we recommend it "y0113 / 01 medium strength".

The dimensions of the nut are specifically designed for use with MadMax, current HPI and Losi rims. Rims from Losi 5ive have slightly different dimensions in the hub area. This is meaningless on the large LOSI or HPI wheel adapters. With the smaller and shorter wheel nut thread of the X-Maxx wheel shafts you cannot compromise. Therefore there are also special nuts for the Losi rims/wheels available at our options menu.
However, somewhere in the past, the injection moulds for the HPI rims were slightly modified in the hub area. As part of that job the bore diameter has probably been slightly increased. Therefore, the use of older rims in combination with the adapter nuts makes it necessary to increase the rim bore a little bit.

Due to repeated requests for use: these wheel nuts replace the stock wheel nuts when installing the wheels!

Genuine HT spare/option part.Available as 272 high strength and heat resistant, 270/1 high strength or 241 medium strength.The strength of 272 and 270/1 is comparable, but 272 can handle temperatures up to 230°C vs. 150°C for 270/1. It is therefore the perfect choice for applications like exhaust or clutch pinion bolts. This will cause the risk of thread seizure and damage. Timely removal of the residues prevents this. A die holder is not required. This results in amazing handiness for a large scale car combined with outstanding off-road capability. The GR1 comes out of the box almost as an all-metal vehicle. Tuning parts to reinforce the model are no longer necessary. Center and rear differential come standard with mechanical locks which can be activated independently by the radio. Of course, a radio system with the appropriate number of channels is required to use this feature. The dimensioning of all parts is designed for great reliability, e.g. the ball joints in the lower trailing arms are standardized industrial swivel bearings with an inner diameter of 6 mm, and the driveline can handle 12S hands down. But according to our experience, 12S operation is simply unnecessary. Nevertheless, we offer 12S equipment in the options menu. Oversized drive shafts also on the front axle are machined and hardened steel with fixed joints at both ends and sliding piece for length compensation. The tires feature a vulcanized fabric reinforcement made of Kevlar; ballooning is actually a thing of the past for them. Thanks to Kevlar, the fabric belt can be relatively thin, so the tires are soft and flexible despite the fabric. Aluminum servo arms for all 4 servos (steering and differential locks) are standard. The levers of the two steering servos are adjustable. Each steering servo has its own adjustable servo saver. A stainless steel adjustment tool is included. The Ackerman rod features four ball bearings. Shock absorbers with 8 mm piston rods and hard anodized shock bodies. All drive gears milled from steel and hardened. Two voltmeters can be optionally installed in the receiver box to monitor the traction batteries.
