The Maxi-Pin competition tire is particularly suitable for tracks with a hard packed surface, as well as for tracks with a higher percentage of carpeting. The tread is not extended into the tire?s sidewall to reduce the side bite of the Maxi-Pin tire; the car remains controllable on such challenging tracks, which makes this tire a must-have for your "tire box"!

Since the Maxi-Pin tire has many fine pins for a high number of biting edges and a low tread depth for reduced flex work, depending on the track?s surface
increased tire wear may be expected. For wet conditions the soft compound is recommended, under normal condition the medium compound is usually your best choice.

HPI Baja 5 cars can also use these tires when equipped with special adapters.

MAXI PIN 185 x 75 with black colored MadMax Extreme rims, 20-fold screwed, very tough, with 24 mm hex drive and with reinforced beadlock rings for Losi and HPI. The MadMax MAXI PIN tires come with strong special tire inserts which allow transferring the power without canting, even on heavy cars. MadMax MAXI PIN tire was developed specifically for astro turf tracks! The special tread design with 480 studs per tire provides excellent grip, but also a high load on tire and rim! To stabilize the tire, the outer shoulder features radial ribs which minimizes the tilting under load and counteract the shear forces during cornering. Furthermore, the MAXI PIN tire has studs positioned on the outside shoulder, which support the steering in corners. All together the MAXI PIN tires provide maximum grip, which made it necessary to upgrade the beadlock screws on these MadMax EXTREME wheels. So they come with 3.0 mm screws instead of the usual 2.5 mm ones! Nevertheless, tires and beadlocks should be checked after every run.
