The MCD Astro-Grip is one of the most widely used tires in large scale off-road racing. Especially on astro turf and firm clay it provides optimal grip and is resistant to wear. The reinforced shoulder largely protects the tire from damage. Therefore the radial ribbing should normally be mounted on the outside of the. With more than 700 (!) differently designed, closely spaced lugs and the 70 mm wide tread it is reasonably wear resistant and provides optimal grip with good side traction. If this - i.e. on the front axle - is not desired, you may cut the lugs at the tires outer edge to reduce cornering grip. This can be easily done with a small side cutter or strong nail scissors.
