The MCD Astro-Grip is one of the most widely used tires in large scale off-road racing. Especially on astro turf and firm clay it provides optimal grip and is resistant to wear. The reinforced shoulder largely protects the tire from damage. Therefore the radial ribbing should normally be mounted on the outside of the. Due to the increased stiffness and some sort of added tread, the ribs also improve the tires traction during cornering.If this effect is not desired (i.e to reduce steering on the front axle), you can also mount the tires with the ribs to the inside, of course. It just has be considered when you glue the tires. Another way to reduce the tires grip at the outer edge is cutting some of the outer pins. This makes a tire less aggressive during cornering; another possibility to match the cars behavior to the track and make it more drivable. TAMIYA PS = Polycarbonate spray paints are specially developed for painting unpainted kit body shells. Numerous colour shades are available and allow the individual design of models. Each can contains 100 ml of highly opaque paint, which is oil and fuel resistant, allowing the use on nitro models.The body shell should be degreased and cleaned before use. Best painting results are achieved when thin layers of paint are sprayed on from a distance of approx. 30 cm. This results in a 4WD vehicle with the quick turning-in of a 2WD while retaining the advantages of 4WD traction when accelerating out of corners.This applies to offroad and street cars alike.The inner races in the one-way clutch feature the internal spline drive to accept FG differential shafts. They are made of high strength steel, hardened and ground to very close tolerances. Combined with the large one-way clutches, this guarantees the transfer of the high maximum torque.Installation is pretty easy; the one-way clutch unit replaces the bevel gears in the diff including the satellite gear shaft and is inserted as a single piece into the differential case. You just have to take care that the side where the writing on the clutch can be seen goes to the left hand side (in the direction of travel).Fits FG-plastic differential case and HT- or FG-aluminum cases for non-self-locking differential versions.For vehicles not equipped with in-wheel brakes it should be noted that there will be no more braking action in front from the layshaft brake when running the one-way clutch as a front differentialOnly for 4WD models.
