The SPEED TEC COMPETITION genuine 5ive-T engine is optimized for performance with sophisticated craftsmanship and guarantees, besides greatly increased performance, excellent workmanship and stamina.

SPEED TEC COMPETITION version modifications:

Cylinder:
Adjustment of compression; enlarged ports, fuel management milled, machined and polished exhaust and intake, the case is specially matched with enlarged and polished cross section towards the ports, oil holes for optimized lubrication of the crankshaft bearings.

Piston:
weight reduced; skirt shortened; oil rings, piston above and below piston ring tapered and piston dome polished.

Crankshaft:
is adjusted, aligned and balanced, high quality Fluon shaft seals and Top Drag Seals installed.

Flywheel:
weight reduced and checked for runout.

Insulator:
mounted SPEED TEC tuning insulator.

Gaskets:
use of premium quality gaskets.

y0045 GPM Crankcase cover for 1/5 & 1/6
To ensure the required cooling for current 1/5 and 1/6 engines the flywheels have fins on both sides. Therefore the fan housing has large openings on the crankcase side for the required air supply. However, the risk of foreign objects (grass, sand, or even stones!) entering here Is very high! As a result, broken fins on the flywheel occur frequently. This leads to reduced cooling efficiency and - even more critical vibrations from a flywheel which is out of balance due to missing fins. Therefore, this kind of flywheel protection is highly recommended, especially for offroad use. The product video explains the handling in detail! Note:It is essential to thoroughly clean and degrease the crankcase prior to attaching the hook-and-loop tape (OKS2661)!For installation on Chung-Yang and Zenoah engines in FG cars, the crankcase cover must be slightly modified in two places where the engine mount is attached (see Figure 6 and 7). Furthermore the fit of the fabric must be as tight as possible in the region of the layshaft pinion (in front of the differential ring gear!) Same dimensions as the Zenoah G230, G240, G260, G270.New generation Zenoah engine with 28,5cm³ cylinder capacity and approx. 3.9 hp. The cylinder is fixed with 4 screws. The technical details are identical to the Zenoah engines G240RC and G270RC.The engine will be delivered with pull starter, carb and spark plug / spark plug cap. Genuine Zenoah air filter and / or complete clutch and / or ball beard carburetor are optionally available at additional charge. Compatibility Zenoah / Losi 5ive-T:Please note that for installation in a Losi 5ive the fan cover must be swapped for a Losi or CY cover #5341 in order to fit the chassis" bolt pattern.If you want to install a Zenoah engine into the Losi 5ive, you usually have to use a fan cover from the CY engine.However, there is a workaround to maintain Zenoah fan cover.The adjustment is done via the pinion specific mounting plates for the engine. The change always affects only the rear, outer (carburetor side) plate under the fan cover. This is rotated by 180°; so that the embossed number on this plate faces the exhaust side of the engine!18T pinion: use 20T plate, rotated 180°19T pinion: use 19T plate, rotated 180°20T pinion: use 18T plate, rotated 180°On the plus side you gain the opportunity to easily mount a Zenoah engine keeping the original fan cover. On the other hand there will be the disadvantage of the necessity to combine two different sets of engine mounting plates when installing any pinion other than the stock 19T version. Therefore we do not recommend this workaround for everyday use. Nevertheless it works perfectly should ever the need arise.
