To ensure the required cooling for current 1/5 and 1/6 engines the flywheels have fins on both sides. Therefore the fan housing has large openings on the crankcase side for the required air supply. However, the risk of foreign objects (grass, sand, or even stones!) entering here Is very high! As a result, broken fins on the flywheel occur frequently. This leads to reduced cooling efficiency and - even more critical vibrations from a flywheel which is out of balance due to missing fins. Therefore, this kind of flywheel protection is highly recommended, especially for offroad use. The product video explains the handling in detail! Note:It is essential to thoroughly clean and degrease the crankcase prior to attaching the hook-and-loop tape (OKS2661)!For installation on Chung-Yang and Zenoah engines in FG cars, the crankcase cover must be slightly modified in two places where the engine mount is attached (see Figure 6 and 7). Furthermore the fit of the fabric must be as tight as possible in the region of the layshaft pinion (in front of the differential ring gear!) In this case, the clutch does not transfer the applied torque.This is where the Big ScaleEXTREME sets a new standard.The new design of the "Extreme" prevents the centrifugal forces of clutch springs or lever side of the clutch shoes from counteracting the centrifugal force of the friction pad side even after engagement.As a result this clutch can transfer lots of power with minimal wear.The new design ensures that the centrifugal forces are transferred in full to the clutch lining. Precise engagement and disengagement even under high loads and inside of closed clutch bell carriers means no problem for this clutch.The clutch can be easily adjusted to the engagement speed through three set screws without clutch bell removal, so you can match the characteristics of your engine.The special clutch lining of the Big Scale-EXTREME is particularly wear-resistant and - especially in combination with a high-quality nitrited clutch bell (), guarantees for an exceptionally long service life! Contrary to the "Cross" or "Race" version there's no need to uninstall the clutch from the engine for maintenance. Hardened steel pinion set for Losi 5ive-T, 5ive-B and Mini, with corresponding engine mount inserts included. All parts with laser etched tooth count.Please note: The pinion do fit the 5ive-T 2.0 as well, of course. However, you then have to use the 5ive-T 2.0 engine mount inserts of the appropriate tooth count, inserts from the 5ive-T do not fit! Available with 16, 18T/20T/21T. The 19T pinion is stock equipment in Losi 5ive-T and Mini, 20T is stock in the 5ive-B.The 16T pinion is profile shifted and has the same dimensions as a normal 18T pinion.It is specially made for vehicles where the stock tires are replaced by much larger diameter rubber (i.e. monster truck tires and MadMax Giant Grip).Profile regraded, this means that the number of teeth is changed while the diameter remained constant. The part of the involutes? curve that defines the tooth profile is changed.
