Product information "y1613 Mammoth Supergrip mounted and glued on silver FG rims"
The optimal parking lot or race tires for your FG Racetruck model.
Type Width Outer diameter
Front 64 mm 153 mm
Rear 78 mm 153 mm
Glued on original FG-Racetruck rims (rear tire with extension to the inside), incl. foam rubber insert,
FG rim with 18 mm square drive and reinforcement ring.
Attention: From experience we warn against using rims and extensions from another manufacturer.
Since the Mammoth tires provide a very good grip, the rim and bonding are extremely stressed. Due to the high torque load in relation to the bonding of tires on large models, an occasional check in this regard and possibly a repair of the bonding (y0067) is inevitable.
As a recommendation:
The dirtier the track or the colder the temperature, the softer the rear tire should be.
Reference for the front tire: With 2WD models this should be one to two stages harder than the used rear tire. On 4WD models, a tire combination with the same shore hardness front and rear is often good to drive.
Of course, with Mammoth Supergrip Racetruck tires, the softer the tire, the higher the wear.
The Mammoth Supergrip Racetruck tires have a special onroad tread. Whereby these still have an optimal grip after the wear of the tread, and can still be driven for a long time.

The Mammoth brings, due to its quite strong and large pins and the extreme width of the tire, especially on hard and low grip surfaces a high traction! The Mammoth is available in soft, medium and hard! The rule is: the harder the ground the softer the tire compound. Where other tires spin helplessly the Mammoth provides serious traction. With few exceptions, the Mammoth is usually for the rear axle only. The white lettering on the tires has been applied for presentation purpose only. The tires will be delivered with black sidewall. The disadvantage of Mammoth tires: Because of their extreme width they need to be mounted on FG wheels with extension rings and wide tire inserts (same as for the FG wide slicks), which is a labor intensive job. From experience, we must strongly recommend against using rims from another manufacturer in combination with extension rings. Due to the before mentioned traction no other rim has been up to the task! Broken rims and torn squares were the result. Due to the high torque load on the bonding of tires on largescale cars, checking the bonding from time to time and re-glueing (y0067) if necessary is unavoidable. However, the original FG-rim lasts without problems! Also suitable for:With the following wheel adapter: y1183 Rim adapter
