This kit replaces the o-ring for sealing the drive cup shaft in the stock differential case by a real oil seal. Two new shims provide for the adjustment of the width of the shaft seal and replace the stock shim.
Shaft seals are better than o-rings for sealing fast rotating shafts.
The set includes the parts for retrofitting all three differentials of the vehicle.
Installation can be done only in the differential housing. Unfortunately the corresponding bore in the differential gears is machined differently, so you have to stay with the O-ring for that application.
