The V-pin competition tire is particularly suitable for tracks with loose and sandy surface. The high tread profile, extended to the tire shoulder requires a high manufacturing cost. This tread design guarantees an extremely high side traction and provides maximum propulsion especially on surfaces like sand and loose soil for optimum. A well proven combination is the use of in the rear and V-pin at the front. By cutting of the tread profile of the V-pin tires you can adjust your car's handling easily. The partly or nearly complete removal of the V-pin tire's tread on the outside of the tire, greatly affects the tire's side bite when cornering.Please take a look at the corresponding pics:Pic A - very high lateral grip = car tends to oversteerPic B - high lateral grip = still sharp steering responsePic C - reduced lateral grip = neutral handlingPic D - low lateral grip = expect the car to understeerOf course, the before mentioned does depend on the track surface!Summarized: removing tread from V-Pin tires on the front axle will reduce oversteering, calm your car and make it easier to drive.When oversteering is extreme (e.g. high grass) you may even start cutting the tread on the inside shoulder. In rear brown springs with oil in the 800 - 900 range or blue springs with 900 - 1000 range oil should be fine for bashing. In front blue springs and 1500 silicone oil are a good point to start from. The do all correspond with the standard main gear and are secured using two grubscrews.These pinions are profile regraded and have all the same diameter!Module: m=1,5Profile regraded, this means that the number of teeth is changed while the diameter remained constant. The part of the involutes? curve that defines the tooth profile is changed. The Mammoth brings, due to its quite strong and large pins and the extreme width of the tire, especially on hard and low grip surfaces a high traction! The Mammoth is available in soft, medium and hard! The rule is: the harder the ground the softer the tire compound. Where other tires spin helplessly the Mammoth provides serious traction. With few exceptions, the Mammoth is usually for the rear axle only. The disadvantage of Mammoth tires: Because of their extreme width they need to be mounted on FG wheels with extension rings and wide tire inserts (same as for the FG wide slicks), which is a labor intensive job. The white lettering on the tires has been applied for presentation purpose only. The tires will be delivered with black sidewall. From experience, we must strongly recommend against using rims from another manufacturer in combination with extension rings. Due to the before mentioned traction no other rim has been up to the task! Broken rims and torn squares were the result. However, the original FG-rim lasts without problems!

Genuine HT spare/option part. Fits Losi Desert Buggy XL stock shocks.The Desert Buggy XL stock springs use a high preload, which is even bigger than the shocks travel. This means that the stock spring action increases not that much going through the available suspension travel. To handle hard impacts high viscosity oil is used in the shocks; however, this oil is too heavy for these springs for a proper rebound. A sensible suspension tuning becomes much pretty difficult.For this reason, the tuning springs Dirt-Spring Desert Buggy XL are shorter than the stock springs, but also use heavier gauge wire in return.
