It uses the known design of ramps for the satellite gear shafts to reduce slippage. The development of the Lightscale STD already began in 2007. In 2008, the first prototypes were ready and tested. In these almost 10 years, we have intensively tested and refined the product to the production stage. In addition to weight optimization and stamina, easy use, simple maintenance and comfortable handling of the car were on the to-do list.We have succeeded in developing a differential which, depending on the setup, achieves a maximum blocking effect, but gives you a car which is very easy to drive. The blocking effect does not kick in as suddenly as you expect from differentials of this kind, but develops pleasantly and controllably. Hence the name "Smooth Traction Differential". The great advantage of the STD is that even under adverse conditions good traction can be achieved. The STD is easy to handle.
