In this case, the clutch does not transfer the applied torque.This is where the Big ScaleEXTREME sets a new standard.The new design of the "Extreme" prevents the centrifugal forces of clutch springs or lever side of the clutch shoes from counteracting the centrifugal force of the friction pad side even after engagement.As a result this clutch can transfer lots of power with minimal wear.The new design ensures that the centrifugal forces are transferred in full to the clutch lining. Since engines become faster and stronger these days, the clutch has to handle much more power than before. This clutch is basically the same for all cars, only the center part is different. So when you change your car youll only need a different center part. This new clutch has 4 shoes which engaging action can be adjusted to your personal preference through changing the springs. You are now able to allow 2 shoes to engage earlier by 700 to 2000 rpm. When the engine has enough rpm to press all 4 shoes against the bell, the spring preload is neutralized. The reason for this: the center part, which is attached to the crankshaft and carries the clutch body on three ball bearings, turns 30 degrees once all 4 shoes touch the bell, increasing pressure on the shoes from down below to a higher value than possible through centrifugal force alone. The stronger the engine, the more additional clutch pressure will be generated. The result: better acceleration through significantly reduced slippage. This will protect your clutch shoes from wear and damage! When the throttle is released, the center part disengages and the springs are re-activated within milliseconds. With this new system the wear of the shoes is significantly reduced. This clutch is especially designed for models with high power engines such as the heavy like Losi 5ive-T. HURRAX extreme Race tire and insert 175x70 mm HURRAX extreme is one of the most successful tire in large scale off-road racing and specifically designed for astro turf and solid ground. With more than 700 (!) differently designed, closely spaced lugs and the 70 mm wide tread it is reasonably wear resistant and provides optimal grip with good side traction. If this - i.e. on the front axle - is not desired, you may cut the lugs at the tires outer edge to reduce cornering grip. This can be easily done with a small side cutter or strong nail scissors. In order to reduce the edging in the tire on the front axle.This makes a tire less aggressive during cornering and changes the cars behavior towards understeer. It becomes depending on the track conditions (i.e. wet!) a lot more drivable.An optimal vehicle setup can often be achieved by running already used HURRAX extreme tires on the front and new ones on the rear axle.This is especially true for 2WD models.
