To ensure the required cooling for current 1/5 and 1/6 engines the flywheels have fins on both sides. Therefore the fan housing has large openings on the crankcase side for the required air supply. However, the risk of foreign objects (grass, sand, or even stones!) entering here Is very high! As a result, broken fins on the flywheel occur frequently. This leads to reduced cooling efficiency and - even more critical vibrations from a flywheel which is out of balance due to missing fins. Therefore, this kind of flywheel protection is highly recommended, especially for offroad use. The product video explains the handling in detail! Note:It is essential to thoroughly clean and degrease the crankcase prior to attaching the hook-and-loop tape (OKS2661)!For installation on Chung-Yang and Zenoah engines in FG cars, the crankcase cover must be slightly modified in two places where the engine mount is attached (see Figure 6 and 7). Furthermore the fit of the fabric must be as tight as possible in the region of the layshaft pinion (in front of the differential ring gear!) The Lightscale Camber Gauge is a black anodised alloy block that features 8 different angled planes in 0.5° steps from 0.5° to 4° on different surfaces. The gauge is to be layed down beside a tyre for negative camber angles and any 90° part is put on one of the planes an pulled towards the tyre. Doing so you can easily check the camber of your tyres. To check positive camber, just turn around the gauge. Turning the gauge upside down will make it a 10mm high block to support you measuring the droop of any 1/5, 1/6 and 1/10 scale Electric or nitro car. Those are usually put on 10mm support blocks and beeing measured their droop with a special tool. The Lightscale ride height gauge (50160200) is a droop gauge as well and will do the job for you.
