To ensure the required cooling for current 1/5 and 1/6 engines the flywheels have fins on both sides. Therefore the fan housing has large openings on the crankcase side for the required air supply. However, the risk of foreign objects (grass, sand, or even stones!) entering here Is very high! As a result, broken fins on the flywheel occur frequently. This leads to reduced cooling efficiency and - even more critical vibrations from a flywheel which is out of balance due to missing fins. Therefore, this kind of flywheel protection is highly recommended, especially for offroad use. The product video explains the handling in detail! Note:It is essential to thoroughly clean and degrease the crankcase prior to attaching the hook-and-loop tape (OKS2661)!For installation on Chung-Yang and Zenoah engines in FG cars, the crankcase cover must be slightly modified in two places where the engine mount is attached (see Figure 6 and 7). Technical description of the Formula 1 Sportsline chassis: The chassis of the FG Formula 1 is built on a high-strength 5 mm aluminium chassis. All chassis holes (screws) are countersunk from below. The front and rear axle with versatile adjustment options such as camber, caster etc. consists of double triangular wishbones. The double triangular wishbones of the rear axle are supported by additional track rods, with which the adjustment work can be carried out as quickly as possible. Thanks to the mounted wishbone threaded rods with right-hand and left-hand threads, all adjustment work can be carried out without dismantling any parts. The model is equipped with 4 aluminium oil pressure shock absorbers. The push-rod suspension ensures play-free transmission from the individual wheel suspension to the shock absorber. The Formula 1 chassis is supplied with a powerful 26 cm³ combustion engine. Power is transmitted via a four-jaw Teflon clutch to a toothed belt drive. This toothed belt drive is also designed for increased drive power. The BBS rims and tyres were modelled on the large prototypes. All rotating parts are mounted on ball bearings. Suitable for the electric engines from FG Modellsport, Leopard BL engines and Castle Creation. The conversion kit includes gear and engine mount, fixing parts for cruise control and LiPo batteries. Cruise control, BL engine and LiPo batteries are not included. During the conversion several fixing holes have to be applied to the chassis. Gear transmission has to be changed accordingly to the use of the electric engine.For easy mounting we recommend LiPo batteries with a max. length of 150mm and 50mm width.The conversion kits include all mechanical parts (except electric engine with speed control, Lipo batteries) to convert your FG model scale 1:5 and 1:6 to an electric powered system.

All borings are countersunk. The models are equipped with front disk brakes for an optimal braking power. Fully adjustable front and rear double wishbone suspensions.Further equipment points are : differential gear, central brake with oversized disk, oil-pressure shock absorbers with volume control and external adjusting ring for the initial tension of the spring. All rotating parts on ball bearings. The body parts are made of clear polycarbonate. Tires are glued on the rims. The models are driven by a 23ccm engine with a powerincreasing tuned pipe. The engine runs with a 2-stroke petrol-oil mixture. Through the installed pull-start system the engine can be started without any problem. The tank capacity enables you to run your model around 45 minutes.
