The Mammoth brings, due to its quite strong and large pins and the extreme width of the tire, especially on hard and low grip surfaces a high traction! The Mammoth is available in soft, medium and hard! The rule is: the harder the ground the softer the tire compound. Where other tires spin helplessly the Mammoth provides serious traction. With few exceptions, the Mammoth is usually for the rear axle only. The disadvantage of Mammoth tires: Because of their extreme width they need to be mounted on FG wheels with extension rings and wide tire inserts (same as for the FG wide slicks), which is a labor intensive job. The white lettering on the tires has been applied for presentation purpose only. The tires will be delivered with black sidewall. From experience, we must strongly recommend against using rims from another manufacturer in combination with extension rings. Due to the before mentioned traction no other rim has been up to the task! Broken rims and torn squares were the result. However, the original FG-rim lasts without problems!

y1234 V-Pin 1/6 offroad competition tire

The V-pin competition tire is particularly suitable for tracks with loose and sandy surface. The high tread profile, extended to the tire shoulder requires a high manufacturing cost. This tread design guarantees an extremely high side traction and provides maximum propulsion especially on surfaces like sand and loose soil for optimum. A well proven combination is the use of in the rear and V-pin at the front. By cutting of the tread profile of the V-pin tires you can adjust your car's handling easily. The partly or nearly complete removal of the V-pin tire's tread on the outside of the tire, greatly affects the tire's side bite when cornering.Please take a look at the corresponding pics:Pic A - very high lateral grip = car tends to oversteerPic B - high lateral grip = still sharp steering responsePic C - reduced lateral grip = neutral handlingPic D - low lateral grip = expect the car to understeerOf course, the before mentioned does depend on the track surface!Summarized: removing tread from V-Pin tires on the front axle will reduce oversteering, calm your car and make it easier to drive.When oversteering is extreme (e.g. high grass) you may even start cutting the tread on the inside shoulder. TT1040 Top Tuning 24 mm hex wheel drives for Losi Super Baja Rey / 2.0 and Super Rock Rey / plastic spindles

Genuine Top Tuning spare/option part.TopTuning 24mm hex wheel drives are required if you want to run wheel combos with the standard 24mm hex drive (such as Losi 5ive-T/B; DBXL; HPI-Baja etc.!) on your Losi Super Baja-Rey and Super Rock Rey.The stock Super Baja-Rey / Super Rock Rey20 mm hex drives (# LOS252077) will be swapped for the TopTuning 24 mm version. No additional parts are required for installation of the 24 mm hex wheel drivers. The Losi Super Baja-Rey's fake brake discs and calipers must be removed prior to assembly.Attention: For the attachment of the wheels you also need wheel nuts with M18x1.5 thread (i.e. AT-5T004), which are also offered in our shop's option menu!Please note: The adapters only fit in combination with the standard plastic steering knuckles or wheel bearing carriers. The MadMax SUPERGRIP tires have been designed especially for use on tarmac. Even on fine-pored tarmac your car will still find enough grip! (As you can see in our video).On most 1/5 and 1/6 cars the best combination is the use of 60 mm wide front and 80 mm wide rear tires. The Losi 5ive-T Mini should run 60 mm wide MadMax SUPERGRIP tires all around, because the 80 mm wide SUPERGRIP tires are a bit too wide for the Mini body shell.The 80 mm wide MadMax tires are reinforced on the inside of the carcass with a special cross pattern in the tread section and ribs in the outside shoulder.MadMax SUPERGRIP tires are available in the following compounds: (embossed marking on the inside shoulder!)Breite:Soft:Medium:60 mm y1464/01y1464/0280 mm y1464/03y1464/04For running an rc-car on tarmac, the following recommendations apply:The dirtier the track or the colder the weather, the stickier (softer) the rear tires should be.A note for the front tires: 2WD cars should run slightly harder tires in front than in rear.On 4WD cars the same compound front and rear is usually a good choice!Of course, like in full scale motorsport it also applies to the MadMax SUPERGRIP tires that the softer the tire the higher the wear.
