The V-pin competition tire is particularly suitable for tracks with loose and sandy surface. The high tread profile, extended to the tire shoulder requires a high manufacturing cost. This tread design guarantees an extremely high side traction and provides maximum propulsion especially on surfaces like sand and loose soil for optimum. A well proven combination is the use of in the rear and V-pin at the front. By cutting of the tread profile of the V-pin tires you can adjust your car's handling easily. HURRAX extreme Race tire and insert 175x70 mm HURRAX extreme is one of the most successful tire in large scale off-road racing and specifically designed for astro turf and solid ground. With more than 700 (!) differently designed, closely spaced lugs and the 70 mm wide tread it is reasonably wear resistant and provides optimal grip with good side traction. If this - i.e. on the front axle - is not desired, you may cut the lugs at the tires outer edge to reduce cornering grip. This can be easily done with a small side cutter or strong nail scissors. In order to reduce the edging in the tire on the front axle.This makes a tire less aggressive during cornering and changes the cars behavior towards understeer. It becomes depending on the track conditions (i.e. wet!) a lot more drivable.An optimal vehicle setup can often be achieved by running already used HURRAX extreme tires on the front and new ones on the rear axle.This is especially true for 2WD models. This is rotated by 180°; so that the embossed number on this plate faces the exhaust side of the engine!18T pinion: use 20T plate, rotated 180°19T pinion: use 19T plate, rotated 180°20T pinion: use 18T plate, rotated 180°On the plus side you gain the opportunity to easily mount a Zenoah engine keeping the original fan cover. On the other hand there will be the disadvantage of the necessity to combine two different sets of engine mounting plates when installing any pinion other than the stock 19T version. Therefore we do not recommend this workaround for everyday use. Nevertheless it works perfectly should ever the need arise. Attention! We recommend to run exclusively fully synthetic 2-stroke engine oil, like y0813 Motul 800 racing oil.
