Sand Buster-T Rib front and Sand Buster-T Paddle rear tires are now available from HPI Racing. These tires are designed specifically for the Baja 5T truck.
Sand Busters-T Rib fronts have a rib down the center of the tire to cut through the sand for stable steering, and the Sand Buster-T Paddle rears have 10 large paddles for maximum traction in sand and soft dirt. Sand Buster's are designed for the sand, but you can also run them in loose dirt and even in the mud!
Suitable for Losi 5ive-T as well (paddles all around).

Genuine Top Tuning spare/option part.TopTuning 24mm hex wheel drives are required if you want to run wheel combos with the standard 24mm hex drive (such as Losi 5ive-T/B; DBXL; HPI-Baja etc.!) on your Losi Super Baja-Rey and Super Rock Rey.The stock Super Baja-Rey / Super Rock Rey20 mm hex drives (# LOS252077) will be swapped for the TopTuning 24 mm version. No additional parts are required for installation of the 24 mm hex wheel drivers. The Losi Super Baja-Rey's fake brake discs and calipers must be removed prior to assembly.Attention: For the attachment of the wheels you also need wheel nuts with M18x1.5 thread (i.e. AT-5T004), which are also offered in our shop's option menu!Please note: The adapters only fit in combination with the standard plastic steering knuckles or wheel bearing carriers. The Mammoth brings, due to its quite strong and large pins and the extreme width of the tire, especially on hard and low grip surfaces a high traction! The Mammoth is available in soft, medium and hard! The rule is: the harder the ground the softer the tire compound. Where other tires spin helplessly the Mammoth provides serious traction. With few exceptions, the Mammoth is usually for the rear axle only. The disadvantage of Mammoth tires: Because of their extreme width they need to be mounted on FG wheels with extension rings and wide tire inserts (same as for the FG wide slicks), which is a labor intensive job. The white lettering on the tires has been applied for presentation purpose only. The tires will be delivered with black sidewall. From experience, we must strongly recommend against using rims from another manufacturer in combination with extension rings. Due to the before mentioned traction no other rim has been up to the task! Broken rims and torn squares were the result. However, the original FG-rim lasts without problems!

The V-pin competition tire is particularly suitable for tracks with loose and sandy surface. The high tread profile, extended to the tire shoulder requires a high manufacturing cost. This tread design guarantees an extremely high side traction and provides maximum propulsion especially on surfaces like sand and loose soil for optimum. A well proven combination is the use of in the rear and V-pin at the front. By cutting of the tread profile of the V-pin tires you can adjust your car's handling easily. The partly or nearly complete removal of the V-pin tire's tread on the outside of the tire, greatly affects the tire's side bite when cornering.Please take a look at the corresponding pics:Pic A - very high lateral grip = car tends to oversteerPic B - high lateral grip = still sharp steering responsePic C - reduced lateral grip = neutral handlingPic D - low lateral grip = expect the car to understeerOf course, the before mentioned does depend on the track surface!Summarized: removing tread from V-Pin tires on the front axle will reduce oversteering, calm your car and make it easier to drive.When oversteering is extreme (e.g. high grass) you may even start cutting the tread on the inside shoulder. This can prevent your car from those annoying traction rolls.For very loose soil the soft compound is recommended, under normal condition the medium compound is usually your best choice.HPI Baja 5 cars can also use these tires when equipped with special adapters. Hardened steel pinion set for Losi 5ive-T, 5ive-B and Mini, with corresponding engine mount inserts included. All parts with laser etched tooth count.Please note: The pinion do fit the 5ive-T 2.0 as well, of course. However, you then have to use the 5ive-T 2.0 engine mount inserts of the appropriate tooth count, inserts from the 5ive-T do not fit! Available with 16, 18T/19T/20T/21T. The 19T pinion is stock equipment in Losi 5ive-T and Mini, 20T is stock in the 5ive-B.The 16T pinion is profile shifted and has the same dimensions as a normal 18T pinion.It is specially made for vehicles where the stock tires are replaced by much larger diameter rubber (i.e. monster truck tires and MadMax Giant Grip).Profile regraded, this means that the number of teeth is changed while the diameter remained constant. The part of the involutes? curve that defines the tooth profile is changed.
