No more stripped threads, no warpage and the resulting air leaks at the insulator anymore! So many weird running behaviors, for example if the engine is warmed up and a tiny gap occurred at the insulator, are caused by this distortion of a plastic insulator. The increased heat transfer of the aluminum is taken into account by addition of an insulator plate. Therefore the aluminum intake is largely insulated. Due to the face-milled surfaces of the aluminum intake you reach a greater durability of the gaskets.
