Spacer shims 15 x 21 x 2.0 mm for 1st generation Area center diff mounts Area-5T-007.

Contrary to the stock plastic diff mounts, the 1st generation of these mounts (w/o integrated brake caliper) featured a slightly different position of the front ball bearing. When using a stock plastic differential case or the current aluminum version in combination with the 1st gen mounts, one of these spacer shims has to be installed between differential case and front ball bearing.

This kit replaces the o-ring for sealing the drive cup shaft in the stock differential case by a real oil seal. Two new shims provide for the adjustment of the width of the shaft seal and replace the stock shim.Shaft seals are better than o-rings for sealing fast rotating shafts.The set includes the parts for retrofitting all three differentials of the vehicle.Installation can be done only in the differential housing. Genuine HT spare/option part. The spool replaces the center differential and keeps the speed of both output shafts the same. As a result, especially the acceleration of the vehicle is significantly increased.The spool is nicely made of high-quality burnished steel and very strong. Its total length is the same as a normal differential housing with gasket. The gasket is no longer used with the spool. The driving pin of the front output shaft is secured by an O-ring. The screws for the connection with the spur gear are secured with nylock nuts.
