The optional polycarbonate side box inserts produce an undercut, which cant be achieved in a single molded part. On the body is a bead line along which you have to make a cut out; then bolt in the additional part. The result is a much more realistic look.
Even old or already painted bodies can easily be retrofitted with the optional side box.
