MAXI PIN 185 x 75 with black colored MadMax Extreme rims, 20-fold screwed, very tough, with 24 mm hex drive and with reinforced beadlock rings for Losi and HPI.
The MadMax MAXI PIN tires come with strong special tire inserts which allow transferring the power without canting, even on heavy cars.
MadMax MAXI PIN tire was developed specifically for astro turf tracks! The special tread design with 480 studs per tire provides excellent grip, but also a high load on tire and rim! To stabilize the tire, the outer shoulder features radial ribs which minimizes the tilting under load and counteract the shear forces during cornering. Furthermore, the MAXI PIN tire has studs positioned on the outside shoulder, which support the steering in corners.
All together the MAXI PIN tires provide maximum grip, which made it necessary to upgrade the beadlock screws on these MadMax EXTREME wheels. So they come with 3.0 mm screws instead of the usual 2.5 mm ones! Nevertheless, tires and beadlocks should be checked after every run.

For the best result possible, nut and adapter are manufactured as a one-piece unit.It should be noted that the wide rims can be used on the rear axle only. On the front axle they would limit the steering angle by grinding on lower a-arm and steering rod.LosiDBXL rims do not fit the X-Maxx (depth of hex is too deep)!Traxxas has microencapsulated the wheel shafts of the X-Maxx to secure the wheel nuts. Like any thread locking compound this is not for eternity. After several tire changes the use of a normal screw locking compound is advised, we recommend it "y0113 / 01 medium strength".The dimensions of the nut are specifically designed for use with MadMax, current HPI and Losi rims. Rims from Losi 5ive have slightly different dimensions in the hub area. This is meaningless on the large LOSI or HPI wheel adapters. With the smaller and shorter wheel nut thread of the X-Maxx wheel shafts you cannot compromise. Therefore there are also special nuts for the Losi rims/wheels available at our options menu.However, somewhere in the past, the injection moulds for the HPI rims were slightly modified in the hub area. As part of that job the bore diameter has probably been slightly increased. The MCD Astro-Grip is one of the most widely used tires in large scale off-road racing. Especially on astro turf and firm clay it provides optimal grip and is resistant to wear. The reinforced shoulder largely protects the tire from damage. Therefore the radial ribbing should normally be mounted on the outside of the. Due to the increased stiffness and some sort of added tread, the ribs also improve the tires traction during cornering.If this effect is not desired (i.e to reduce steering on the front axle), you can also mount the tires with the ribs to the inside, of course. MadMax MAXI PIN tyres have been specially developed for carpet race tracks! The special block tread pattern, with 480 knobs per tyre, provides excellent grip, but also puts extreme strain on the tyre and the rim. To stabilise the tyre, the outside of the tyre shoulder is equipped with vertical ribbing on the side, which minimises tilting under load and counteracts the shear forces that occur in bends. Furthermore, the MAXI PIN tyres have knobs positioned on the side of the outer side, which particularly support the steering behaviour of your RC car in bends.
