The material component of this high quality engineering plastic, with an extremely high melting point of 280° C, guarantees optimal insulation. In contrast to the original insulator, this will greatly enhance the thermal insulation of the carburetor and therefore no vapor lock caused by a heated carb!
The lean condition of the engine at high temps is counteracted!
The larger by about 25% overall height of 26 mm (vs. 21 mm stock) and the optimized passage allow lower fuel consumption! The inner diameter has been enlarged compared to the stock insulator from 15.8 mm to 17.5 mm at the top!
Due to the 60% glass fiber content of the SPEED TEC Tuning insulator the threads allow for high clamping force, therefore a secure fit is guaranteed even with air boxes or bigger off-road air filters, which are common in racing applications.
