Especially for 1/5 & 1/6 offroad cars The slanteded version is required for many offroad cars when installing a taller insulator and for HPI Baja series cars in general. The material components of this high quality engineering plastic, with an extremely high melting point of 280° C, guarantee optimal heat dissipation. Unlike the original insulator, this allows for a much better thermal insulation of the carburetor and therefore prevents fuel vapor lock in the carburetor at high ambient temperatures! The leaning out of the engine at higher temperatures is counteracted! The increased height and optimized port allows for lower fuel consumption!Due to the air boxes mandatory for racing and the required off-road air filters, a strong and rigid insulator is a must! No more stripped threads, no warpage and the resulting air leaks at the insulator anymore! So many weird running behaviors, for example if the engine is warmed up and a tiny gap occurred at the insulator, are caused by this distortion of a plastic insulator. The increased heat transfer of the aluminum is taken into account by addition of an insulator plate. Therefore the aluminum intake is largely insulated.
