The Losi LOSR8020 tuned pipe is dollar-for-dollar the easiest and cheapest performance upgrade you can buy for your 5ive-T/Mini. This complete exhaust system uses advanced two-stroke tuning technology to dramatically increase the low and mid range power and throttle response allowing any common 23-31cc engine to reach peak RPMs much quicker. The development was done over hundreds of laps and many hours by the Losi development team with the help of one the premier 1/5 scale engine/pipe builders.
This design features a separate conical header and an ultra smooth tooled expansion chamber with a telescoping fit for both reliability as well as performance. The use of advanced precise tooling to produce both the header and the pipe optimizes the shock wave effect of the expansion chamber system as well as maximizing the durability.
The hi-quality steel alloy is coated with a rust and heat resistant black finish for added protection and appearance. The compact design offers plenty of room for access to chassis parts and, since the pipe bolts directly and securely to the engine, gear changes and service on the clutch or engine is extremely easy. All mounting hardware, exhaust gasket and coupler are included as well as being available separately.

Genuine TT spare/option part.The new and improved failsafe modul.This kill switch module works with most FM and 2.4 GHz rc-systems. Not compatible with AVC-equipped receivers! You must have a free channel on your rc-system in order to install the module! This means at least a 3-channel radio for standard 1-servo brake/throttle setups or a 4-channel radio for dual brake servos driven by the radio's mixer function. With this module you can stop the engine with your radio. Additionally the module features a failsafe function which stops the engine when the rx-battery's voltage drops below a certain level or the rc-system has a glitch. A kill switch module fulfils two tasks. On the one hand, as a safety device, it is intended to shut off an engine with magneto ignition in case of failure of the remote control, and on the other hand, the engine can be stopped at any time by remote control.While the latter is mainly used for convenience, the safety aspect is what really matters.The failsave circuit integrated in all modern remote controls may brake the vehicle in the event of a radio interference, but this feature is dependent on the basic functionality of the receiver system and its power supply. However, if the receiver, the gas servo or the power supply fails completely, the failsave of the remote control can no longer do its job. black (the decals pictured are not included!). The elastoplastic body set fits the stock Losi 5ive-T roll cage precisely and is almost "unbreakable"! Due to the special surface properties of TPE (elasto plastics), elasto decal sets are strongly recommended for TPE body shells.Of course, the extreme deformability of the elastoplastic body shell, compared to the stock version, is a huge advantage.And there's more with the elastoplastic body shell:Better dirt protection for the 5ive-T through partially closed wheel wells front and rear.Front and rear fenders with large cut-outs prevent contact with the tires.Integrated window nets allow for improved airflow and better engine cooling.The textured surface of the elastoplastic body shell is largely soil-resisting.Please note: This feature also makes the use of highly specialised adhesives for any kind of decals unavoidable if you want them to stay. Now with the "K&N" version the engine mount has been changed to eliminate this discrepancy. However, all aluminum engine mounts available on the market share their dimensions with the previous plastic engine mount. For the installation of a G320 Zenoah in a "K&N" -DBXL two possible combinations exist in order to obtain the correct hole pattern:When using the standard (new) plastic engine mount a shortened clutch housing is required as in a 5ive-TWhen using an aluminum engine mount a stock length clutch housing is requiredSeparately, it is recommended to enlarge the cutout in the body panel in front of the K & N air filter for about 2 - 3 mm to ensure that the panel cannot chafe on the air filter.When installing the air filter you must pay attention to the length of the screws.For use on Losi and HPI we recommend M5x45 screws (like H94763); you can also cut existing screws to length, of course.When ordering with a modified clutch housing we will include these screws!In our shop you can select from Zenoah G320RC engines already modified to fit your HPI or Losi car.The installation of the Zenoah G320RC in other cars (like FG or Smartech buggies / monsters a.s.o.) is not even remotely straightforward, since the layshaft pinion (the small pinion in front of the big differential spur gear) is in the way for the larger Zenoah G320RC crankcase.Compatibility Zenoah / Losi 5ive-T:Please note that for installation in a Losi 5ive the fan cover must be swapped for a Losi or CY cover #5341 in order to fit the chassis" bolt pattern.If you want to install a Zenoah engine into the Losi 5ive, you usually have to use a fan cover from the CY engine.However, there is a workaround to maintain Zenoah fan cover.The adjustment is done via the pinion specific mounting plates for the engine. The change always affects only the rear, outer (carburetor side) plate under the fan cover. This is rotated by 180°; so that the embossed number on this plate faces the exhaust side of the engine!18T pinion: use 20T plate, rotated 180°19T pinion: use 19T plate, rotated 180°20T pinion: use 18T plate, rotated 180°On the plus side you gain the opportunity to easily mount a Zenoah engine keeping the original fan cover. On the other hand there will be the disadvantage of the necessity to combine two different sets of engine mounting plates when installing any pinion other than the stock 19T version. Therefore we do not recommend this workaround for everyday use. Nevertheless it works perfectly should ever the need arise. Attention! We recommend to run exclusively fully synthetic 2-stroke engine oil, like y0813 Motul 800 racing oil.
