The MCD Astro-Grip is one of the most widely used tires in large scale off-road racing. Especially on astro turf and firm clay it provides optimal grip and is resistant to wear. The reinforced shoulder largely protects the tire from damage. Therefore the radial ribbing should normally be mounted on the outside of the. Due to the increased stiffness and some sort of added tread, the ribs also improve the tires traction during cornering.If this effect is not desired (i.e to reduce steering on the front axle), you can also mount the tires with the ribs to the inside, of course. It just has be considered when you glue the tires. Another way to reduce the tires grip at the outer edge is cutting some of the outer pins. You can select the tyre hardness above:  - Hurrax HX100 extreme Grip Medium 175/70 mm tyre and  - Hurrax HX400 extreme Grip Soft 175/70 mm tyre  Please select which tyre you prefer.  You also have the option of having the tyres delivered ready glued for an additional charge.  Please click if you want to have the tyres ready glued! HURRAX extreme is one of the most successful tire in large scale off-road racing and specifically designed for astro turf and solid ground. With more than 700 (!) differently designed, closely spaced lugs and the 70 mm wide tread it is reasonably wear resistant and provides optimal grip with good side traction. If this - i.e. on the front axle - is not desired, you may cut the lugs at the tires outer edge to reduce cornering grip. This can be easily done with a small side cutter or strong nail scissors. In order to reduce the edging in the tire on the front axle.This makes a tire less aggressive during cornering and changes the cars behavior towards understeer.
