Thereby the Lightscale wheel nut works just like a real one in present f1 racing. It is tightened with a 22 open end spanner or socket wrench. Alternatively one may use the special Lightscale toolto tighten or loosen the wheel nut.
Due to the use of rifled and conical washers a locking effect is achieved.

A must-have for 1/5 on-road racing! Even though it looks funny at first sight for uninitiated people! ;-) Just like in full-size racing our tires need a certain temperature to provide the necessary grip that is needed to achieve good lap times. Usually this means that the car will get really fast times only after a few laps. The driver who uses preheated tires has a considerably advantage. With cold outside temperatures or low grip tracks, like a not so clean parking lot, it often not possible at all to bring the tire temperature up to the required range just by driving. As a result the car will be difficult to control!Measures:maximum outer diameter of 150 mm maximum tire width of 110 mm That includes all standard 1/5th car tires! ( Formular 1 car tires ) Instructions: The tire warmers may be operated only on 12 to 13.8 volts AC or DC. In order to reach optimum operating temperature, a power supply with a 12 - 13.8 volts AC or DC and at least 10 amps output power should be used. The T2m Powerbase y1352 or the LRP 43200 Powersupply Competition power supply is the perfect solution for this application. The operation of the tire warmers directly from a 12 volt car battery (without Powerbase) is also possible, of course. The special tool for Lightscale wheel nuts is simply inserted into the end of a spark plug wrench and is secured there by use of an o-ring. With its 3 hardened pins the tool locates into the wheel nut and may be used to tighten or untighten it. The tool is universally usable for all Lightscale wheel nuts.The kit contains the tool as well as the o-ring and hardened pins. The tool comes ready for use. Compatibility Zenoah / Losi 5ive-T:Please note that for installation in a Losi 5ive the fan cover must be swapped for a Losi or CY cover #5341 in order to fit the chassis" bolt pattern.If you want to install a Zenoah engine into the Losi 5ive, you usually have to use a fan cover from the CY engine.However, there is a workaround to maintain Zenoah fan cover.The adjustment is done via the pinion specific mounting plates for the engine. The change always affects only the rear, outer (carburetor side) plate under the fan cover. This is rotated by 180°; so that the embossed number on this plate faces the exhaust side of the engine!18T pinion: use 20T plate, rotated 180°19T pinion: use 19T plate, rotated 180°20T pinion: use 18T plate, rotated 180°On the plus side you gain the opportunity to easily mount a Zenoah engine keeping the original fan cover. On the other hand there will be the disadvantage of the necessity to combine two different sets of engine mounting plates when installing any pinion other than the stock 19T version. Therefore we do not recommend this workaround for everyday use. Nevertheless it works perfectly should ever the need arise. Attention! We recommend to run exclusively fully synthetic 2-stroke engine oil, like y0813 Motul 800 racing oil.
BIG DIGGER 170x80 and 170x60 with black MadMax Extreme rims with 20 beadlock screws, with 24 mm hex socket and reinforced silver headlock rings for Losi 5ive-T and Desert Buggy XL as well as all HPI Baja 5 cars.The MadMax tires had 84 extremely strong tread blocks on the front tires and 96 on the rears, with more than 1 cm² cross-section and 6 mm tread depth, allow for best power transfer and provide excellent grip even on loose surfaces like sand or soil. Due to the extreme load created by the MadMax BIG DIGGER tires the rim was optimized again with a reinforcement ring.The tires are fitted with a special rigid insert, which can handle the cornering forces and maintain the tires shape even on heavy cars like the Losi 5ive-T.We recommend to check the beadlock screws after the run.
