The Mammoth is available in soft, medium and hard! The rule is: the harder the ground the softer the tire compound. Where other tires spin helplessly the Mammoth provides serious traction. The disadvantage of Mammoth tires: Because of their extreme width they need to be mounted on FG wheels, which is a labor intensive job. From experience, we must strongly recommend against using rims from another manufacturer in combination with extension rings. Due to the before mentioned traction no other rim has been up to the task! Broken rims and torn squares were the result. In this case, the clutch does not transfer the applied torque.This is where the Big ScaleEXTREME sets a new standard.The new design of the "Extreme" prevents the centrifugal forces of clutch springs or lever side of the clutch shoes from counteracting the centrifugal force of the friction pad side even after engagement.As a result this clutch can transfer lots of power with minimal wear.The new design ensures that the centrifugal forces are transferred in full to the clutch lining. Precise engagement and disengagement even under high loads and inside of closed clutch bell carriers means no problem for this clutch.The clutch can be easily adjusted to the engagement speed through three set screws without clutch bell removal, so you can match the characteristics of your engine.The special clutch lining of the Big Scale-EXTREME is particularly wear-resistant and - especially in combination with a high-quality nitrited clutch bell (), guarantees for an exceptionally long service life! The V-pin competition tire is particularly suitable for tracks with loose and sandy surface. The high tread profile, extended to the tire shoulder requires a high manufacturing cost. This tread design guarantees an extremely high side traction and provides maximum propulsion especially on surfaces like sand and loose soil for optimum. A well proven combination is the use of in the rear and V-pin at the front. By cutting of the tread profile of the V-pin tires you can adjust your car's handling easily. The partly or nearly complete removal of the V-pin tire's tread on the outside of the tire, greatly affects the tire's side bite when cornering.Please take a look at the corresponding pics:Pic A - very high lateral grip = car tends to oversteerPic B - high lateral grip = still sharp steering responsePic C - reduced lateral grip = neutral handlingPic D - low lateral grip = expect the car to understeerOf course, the before mentioned does depend on the track surface!Summarized: removing tread from V-Pin tires on the front axle will reduce oversteering, calm your car and make it easier to drive.When oversteering is extreme (e.g. high grass) you may even start cutting the tread on the inside shoulder.
