To ensure the required cooling for current 1/5 and 1/6 engines the flywheels have fins on both sides. Therefore the fan housing has large openings on the crankcase side for the required air supply. However, the risk of foreign objects (grass, sand, or even stones!) entering here Is very high! As a result, broken fins on the flywheel occur frequently. This leads to reduced cooling efficiency and - even more critical vibrations from a flywheel which is out of balance due to missing fins. Therefore, this kind of flywheel protection is highly recommended, especially for offroad use. The product video explains the handling in detail! Note:It is essential to thoroughly clean and degrease the crankcase prior to attaching the hook-and-loop tape (OKS2661)!For installation on Chung-Yang and Zenoah engines in FG cars, the crankcase cover must be slightly modified in two places where the engine mount is attached (see Figure 6 and 7). The GPM shocks cases and rod ends are completely made of aluminum and equipped with replaceable bushings at the upper and lower mounting points.The external volume control is more efficient than built-in versions with membrane or foam element. Compared with the technically similar solution of a floating balance piston inside of the shock absorber body there is the advantage that no length of the shock absorber is needed for the volume compensation. Furthermore the additional housing surface of the equalizing chamber helps in cooling the oil.
