And without this isolator the gasoline would literally cook after a short operating time and therefore the engine would receive a leaner mixture. The much feared lean-out until the engine stalls is inevitably.Unfortunately, even a special isolator is often insufficient at higher ambient temperatures or when the engine is subjected to higher loads, e.g. in racing.
