The screw will be fully inserted into the clutch bell from the backside using high strength thread locking compound. This setup provides a couple of significant advantages:This self locking nut does not use the usual plastic insert; therefore it is completely temperature resistant!Theres no need to wait for the thread locking compound to cure after a pinion change; the connection is safe and ready to use immediately. For safety reasons nut and spring lock washers should only be used once.No need to worry about worn-out Allen screw heads.In case the screw ever breaks at the point where it enters the pinion, it can still be removed with ordinary tools. Theres still the like new screw head inside the clutch bell ready for screw removal.
