This pinion is profile shifted and has a 1.5 module. This means that the number of teeth of the gear is changed compared to the previously known values while the diameter remains the same. The area of the involute curve that determines the tooth profile is shifted. Usually this means that the car will get really fast times only after a few laps. The driver who uses preheated tires has a considerably advantage. With cold outside temperatures or low grip tracks, like a not so clean parking lot, it often not possible at all to bring the tire temperature up to the required range just by driving.
