Only high quality materials are used for the production.Since many years Mecatech is a well-know premium manufacturer of largescale hydraulic brakes or shocks and, as only a few may know, a technology expert for a number of Formula 1 racing teams!The Chassis Kit of the FW01 is particulary intended for "switchers" and "newcomers" and differs from the Basic kit in that the brakes and shock absorbers are already included in the Chassis Kit. All top 5 positions went to drivers running a Mecatech FW01. 7 out of 10 finalists cars were Mecatech FW01.Although the fit of the Mecatech FW01 parts makes the assembly of the car a great experience, some of our customers want to use the expertise of our shop and wish their FW01 fully assembled and tuned in by us!The complete assembly of your FW01 by our workshop is possible for an additional charge. Please note that the costs of the full assembly with servos a.s.o. do not include the price of any rc-components. If you do not have a suitable radio system with servos and batteries as well as switch and charger, you have to take an additional EUR 800 to EUR 1,500 for this equipment into account. We will be happy to make you an appropriate offer. The new GRP tire XM1plus was produced to complement the GRP 2023 tire range because the vehicle set-up of the 1:5 RC cars showed that the grip between the compound difference of the XM1 and the XM2 proved to be a little too big.The addition of the GRP program with this new mixture of the XM1 plus, which consequently lies between the XM1 and XM2 in terms of grip, has shown that this often enables a more precise vehicle set-up and is particularly recommended for longer races, such as final runs.This pair of XM1plus tires has the following performance characteristics: HIGH GRIP for clean tracks. HIGH GRIP for medium to coarse asphalt grain. HIGH GRIP for medium to high temperatures. This pair of Tyres have the following technical features: REVO treated profile for the maximum traction and the maximum lateral grip. Treated profile studied to maintain the tyre surface alway clean from rubber murble. Compound exclusively developped for model tyres. Inside belt flexible but very strong, vulcanized directly together with tyre compound. Insert foam with special material for high temperatures, for maximum stability and high drive precision. Spoked wheel moulded with special material for high temperatures for maximum grip and stability. Special gluing system 100% guaranteed.The main sizes for this tyre are: WHEEL fixing with square 18mm. TYRE outside diameter 118mm. WHEEL inside diameter 90mm. TYRE tota width 65mm. Note:The harder a tire compound - the longer it lasts, but the more moderate the performance.The softer a tire compound - the better the performance, but the lower the durability. Hint!As a rule, the same tires can be used for front and rear.If the vehicle tends to oversteer, this can be avoided by using a harder front tire!In wet conditions you should use a rain tire which offers maximum grip under these circumstances.With the use of Magic Rain, a tire traction compound, the grip can be further improved.Check your tires after driving! It can happen that a tire starts to detach from the rim, in this case you should glue this spot immediately with our tire repair kit (y0067), otherwise the tire could detach completely from the rim.So find out which tire is the best for you!
