The chassis of the FG Formula 1 Competition is built on a 5mm aluminium chassis and all screws at the bottom of the chassis are countersunk. The front and rear axle carriers as well as the engine unit are connected to each other over the entire length of the chassis, so that almost the rigidity of a monocoque chassis is achieved. The engine is fixed in place using a quick-release fastener, making it possible to change the engine quickly. The rear axle is driven by several smooth-running spur gears and an FG ball drive on the rear axle. The clutch bell is held by a separate flange bearing to reduce the load on the crankshaft. The front and rear axle with versatile adjustment options such as camber, caster, etc. consists of aluminium wishbones at the bottom.
