The MadMax MAXI PIN tires come with strong special tire inserts which allow transferring the power without canting, even on heavy cars. MadMax MAXI PIN tire was developed specifically for astro turf tracks! The special tread design with 480 studs per tire provides excellent grip, but also a high load on tire and rim! To stabilize the tire, the outer shoulder features radial ribs which minimizes the tilting under load and counteract the shear forces during cornering. Furthermore, the MAXI PIN tire has studs positioned on the outside shoulder, which support the steering in corners. All together the MAXI PIN tires provide maximum grip, which made it necessary to upgrade the beadlock screws on these MadMax EXTREME wheels. The Mammoth brings, due to its quite strong and large pins and the extreme width of the tire, especially on hard and low grip surfaces a high traction! The Mammoth is available in soft, medium and hard! The rule is: the harder the ground the softer the tire compound. Where other tires spin helplessly the Mammoth provides serious traction. The disadvantage of Mammoth tires: Because of their extreme width they need to be mounted on FG wheels, which is a labor intensive job. From experience, we must strongly recommend against using rims from another manufacturer in combination with extension rings. Due to the before mentioned traction no other rim has been up to the task! Broken rims and torn squares were the result. The MadMax SUPERGRIP tires have been designed especially for use on tarmac. Even on fine-pored tarmac your car will still find enough grip! (As you can see in our video).On most 1/5 and 1/6 cars the best combination is the use of 60 mm wide front and 80 mm wide rear tires.
