Depending on the thread locking compound, you will strive for a value of 200 - 300°C. The shaft end must not be annealed! An annealed pin will mushroom on impact and make it very difficult to drive it out if not impossible. When installing the new pin from set LOS252020 make sure that the flat section of the pin is positioned under the set screw. The set screw should be just slightly tightened against the pin using high strength thread locker (link). Firm tightening puts the pin under preload and increases the risk of breakage!Contents:1 set

Because of its excellent resistance to water washout, the product works extremely well in outdoor applications such as on railroad switching equipment and wire rope cables.Composition:Chesterton 787 Sliding Paste is a unique hybrid material that suits the requirements of todays hotter running equipment. It consists of a combination of both organic and inorganic lubricating components and will perform effectively at temperatures ranging from -23°C to 538°C.
