The chassis of the FG Formula 1 Competition is built on a 5mm aluminium chassis and all screws at the bottom of the chassis are countersunk. The front and rear axle carriers as well as the engine unit are connected to each other over the entire length of the chassis, so that almost the rigidity of a monocoque chassis is achieved. The engine is fixed in place using a quick-release fastener, making it possible to change the engine quickly.
