The design of the "shut-off" valve is a double chamber system, which closes when disconnecting the coupling. Carburetor heat sink for all Zenoah/CY/HPI/Losi and PT-Smartech/Carson engines.Fits all Walbro 603/813/990/771/527/1107 carburetors as well as all Smartech/Carson PT engine carburetors and many more!The TopTuning carburetor heat sink counteracts the notorious vapor lock at high engine temperatures.In fact all current large scale engines have a special adaptor for the thermal insulation of the carb (isolator) to keep the carb as cool as possible, so that the fuel does not form bubbles due to heat transfer from the cylinder. And without this isolator the gasoline would literally cook after a short operating time and therefore the engine would receive a leaner mixture. The much feared lean-out until the engine stalls is inevitably.Unfortunately, even a special isolator is often insufficient at higher ambient temperatures or when the engine is subjected to higher loads, e.g. in racing. To ensure the required cooling for current 1/5 and 1/6 engines the flywheels have fins on both sides. Therefore the fan housing has large openings on the crankcase side for the required air supply. However, the risk of foreign objects (grass, sand, or even stones!) entering here Is very high! As a result, broken fins on the flywheel occur frequently. This leads to reduced cooling efficiency and - even more critical vibrations from a flywheel which is out of balance due to missing fins. Therefore, this kind of flywheel protection is highly recommended, especially for offroad use. The product video explains the handling in detail! Note:It is essential to thoroughly clean and degrease the crankcase prior to attaching the hook-and-loop tape (OKS2661)!For installation on Chung-Yang and Zenoah engines in FG cars, the crankcase cover must be slightly modified in two places where the engine mount is attached (see Figure 6 and 7). Furthermore the fit of the fabric must be as tight as possible in the region of the layshaft pinion (in front of the differential ring gear!)
