The experiences we gained from numerous competitions have all influenced this version. The FG gearwheel drive which is extremely smooth running and cares for more power reserves. Surely FG Modellsport has created a competitive model for the next years with this version which will seamlessly follow up on the past successes.
The undercarriage of the FG Formula 1 Competition is built on an 5mm alloy chassis. All screws at the bottom of the chassis are countersunk.
Front and rear axle mounts as well as the engine unit are connected over the complete length of the chassis, therefore we achieved almost the stiffness of a monocoque chassis. The quick fix system of the engine makes a fast changing of the engine possible. The drive to the rear axle is carried out over several easy-running front gearwheels and an FG ball drive at the rear axle. A separate flange bearing holds the clutch bell in order to relieve the crankshaft. Front and rear axle with their various adjusting possibilities as king pin angle, castor a.s.o. consist of alloy delta wishbones below. Solid alloy rear axle plates reduce the wear at the rear axle and give an enormous driving stability. 4 oil-pressure shock absorbers controlled by a pushrod suspension as well as stabilizers guarantee an optimal ground contact.
We deliver the chassis selectively with tuning bowden cable brakes for front or respectively rear axle. The model is powered by a high-capacity 26 cm³ engine with airbox and Tuning pipe.

The FG Sportsline Formula 1 electric convinces not only by its appearance, but rather by its technical achievements. The unique details such as push rods, horizontal oil pressure shock absorbers, double wishbone and much more can be found in almost no other model.The chassis is built on a high-strength 5mm aluminum chassis plate and thus offers extreme stability. Countersunk holes in the chassis plate allow the screws to be flush, ensuring a flat surface under the model. Versatile adjustment options on the front and rear axles allow the model to be perfectly adapted to your own needs. Adjustments such as camber, caster, etc. are no problem whatsoever, even for beginners, and are made via the double a-arms, which provide maximum stability at the rear axle by means of additional track rods. Also the adjustable aluminum oil filled shock absorbers convince on full length and offer maximum performance even on a very difficult underground. The above mentioned push-rod suspension enables play-free power transfer from the suspension to the shock absorbers, which is essential for precise driving.The factory-mounted combination of 980KV motor and 160A MAX6 esc provides performance that is second to none. With a 6S 22.2V (4S 14.8V is also possible) LiPo batteries, the motor reaches a final speed of about 25,000 rpm, leaving a comparable combustion engine far behind.
