Optimal setting for your FG Formular 1 Sportsline

- back

Here is the setup for your FG Formular 1 Sportsline

Before the model is adjusted and measured, it should be ensured that all rotating parts run smoothly (ball bearings, ball joints, drive axles, servo saver...)

We recommend for the adjustment the camber gauge FG number 8540.

Then, setup will start at the rear suspension:
  1. Setting toe-in
  2. Setting camber (Please note that on a Formula toe-in is adjusted in conjunction with camber)
  3. Suspension droop adjustment
  4. Stabilizer hardness adjustment
  5. Stabilizer play adjustment

Adjustment rear axle:
  • Toe-in: 3°
  • Camber: -2.5°
  • Droop: 12 mm
  • Ground clearance: 10 mm (ride height)
  • Progressive spring short FG 10193 in rear
  • Shock oil: 5000
  • If present stabilizer (rod extends 10 mm from shaft) FG 10480
  • Differential open standard with lots of grease, tuning differential (2-fold, 4-fold or Powerlock)

Proceed with the same steps on the front suspension. However, make sure that the wheels are aligned perfectly straight (servo saver)!

Adjustment front axle:
  • Droop: 3 mm
  • FG progressive yellow spring FG 10192
  • Shock oil: 4000
  • Camber: 1° (positive)
  • Stabilizer hard (rod completely retracted into shaft) FG 10480
  • Toe-out: 8 mm (or 2 degrees)
  • Caster: 6 mm
  • Ground clearance 9 mm (ride height)

At the end of the adjustment mount the wheels you’ll run and adjust ride height. (droop gauge recommended with the order number 50160200)

We Recommend an Outstanding grip and traction to get the tires from the Roadies series.
